One of the many features of Google Maps is its transit feature. What is does is to tell you the expected bus arrival time at the stop. So you don’t have to miss the bus while running for it and maybe you could take a more leisurely walk to the bus stop.
Now you are probably wondering how does it work. Make sure that location services is turned on from your phone or tablet. Open the Google Maps app and navigate to your location. Then look for a stop in your area which is shown by an icon of the transit system or a bus or train icon. Tap on that and you see the routes and arrival times for specific bus lines. In some cases, you will be able to see where the bus is currently.
If you are not using the Google Maps app, the options would be on the left side. From there you will see your transportation options from that stop. Make your choice and you will see the times that the bus arrives. I played with this and tried to find transit times in major cities around the world. It worked well! Just one thing I forgot thought is the bus arrivals were in local time.
