Has this ever happened to you? You’re in a store or restaurant and you hear a song that you can’t remember the name of it. You sit or stand there trying to think of the song title and you can’t. The song brings back good memories, but despite that you still are unable to remember the name of it. Well if you’re one of the 100 million users of Shazam you would use it and quickly get that song’s name and then possibly get a sense of deja-vu.
I put it on my phone a few years back because I could be in a store, restaurant or other place and I hear a song that I wish I knew the name of. Matter of fact I have a confession to make. A few months ago, I was driving and heard a song on the radio that for the life of me I couldn’t remember the name of. It was bugging me. I was able to pull over to the side of the road so I did and got the name. I used Shazam to get it in less than 30 seconds.
So now you’re wondering how do I do it. Well the first thing to do is to download the Shazam app to your phone. It works for both iPhones and Androids. When you hear the name of a song you want to get the name of, go to the Shazam app on your phone. Touch the Shazam icon and you will see a “Listening” message. A few seconds later “Voila” you know the song’s name.
Now here is some more good news. After you download the app create a Shazam account. Now if you lose your phone or get a new one, your searches move with you to your new phone. How is that for a good app? Note that I have not received any compensation or assurances, hints, discounts, etc of compensation from Shazam.
Now if you are any type of a music lover, you will want to download this app. Imagine now when you hear a song you won’t go crazy trying to remember its name. You’ll open Shazam and shazam, get the name of it. I was in Chile last week at a rooftop hotel and heard a song that was familiar but I couldn't think of the name of it. I used Shazam and got the name quickly. Try it and let me know what you think.
