You have to be logged into Facebook to do it either way. The first way to do so is to find any post that the friend in question has made. In the top right hand corner of the post is a drop-down arrow. Click on it and choose the “Unfollow” option. That is all you need to do. Your Facebook friend will not receive a notice that you are muting them or know that you no longer are seeing his or her posts unless you tell them so. The other way to do this is to go to the person’s profile page. By going to their profile you will find a “Following” button. Click on that button and select “Unfollow” Should you wish to see this person’s posts once again, go to their profile and you will see “Follow”. Click on that and you will now be following them once again. Where you clicked on “Follow” will now show as “Following” So if you decide to follow them after the election you can or you can decide to continue to unfollow them. 40 some years ago there was a song by a group named war “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” Well you can unfollow someone and still be Facebook friends with them.
